Cori and Gannon’s wedding day in Santa Barbara was effortless, intimate, and full of joy—from getting ready in the Penthouse Suite at the Drift Hotel to their heartfelt ceremony in the iconic Sunken Gardens at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Every part of their day was filled with genuine emotion, laughter, and the kind of in-between moments I love to capture.
They started the morning together in the Drift Penthouse, a beautifully designed space with tons of natural light—perfect for slow, meaningful moments before the day began. Afterward, they hopped on a trolley with their closest friends and family and made their way to the courthouse for their ceremony. The Santa Barbara Courthouse is such a stunning location to get married, especially in the Sunken Gardens surrounded by that historic architecture and golden California light.
After the ceremony, everyone took the trolley back to Drift Santa Barbara, where the celebration continued at the Drift Galeria—their beautiful new event space. Cori and Gannon celebrated with dinner, drinks, and dancing surrounded by their favorite people in an effortlessly cool, modern setting.
I photographed their day in a blend of digital and 35mm film to capture it with a timeless, documentary-style approach. Film photography brings a nostalgic, textural feel to days like this—especially in a place like Santa Barbara, where the light and atmosphere do half the storytelling.
